Hot Dogs provides hourly leashed dog walks and adventure hikes in the Langford, View Royal and Duncan areas. We are a small, family run business who aim to be affordable, reliable and flexible. We are insured, CRD approved and are certified pet first aiders.
SERVICES
A Tired Dog is a Happy Dog!
HOUR LEASHED WALKS
Perfect if you are out of the house at work and want your best friend to get some exercise in the day. Currently offered in the Westshore and Duncan. Dogs will be picked up, dried off if needed and dropped home safe and sound. The owner will then be sent a drop-off report to keep them updated on their dogs adventures. Packs are between four and six dogs and all dogs are friendly. Available Monday to Friday.

60 minutes: $25 for one dog | $40 for two dogs.
ADVENTURE HIKES
Want to really tire your dog out? Hikes are approximately two hour adventures in the forests, beaches and mountains surrounding the Westshore and the Duncan. We will collect your dog and take them on a hike which are typically unleashed, before returning them home tired and happy. Dogs will be dried if required and we will top up their water at home. Our packs are small and typically consist of three to six dogs and we try to match dogs based on their ability and energy level. The owner will then be sent a drop-off report to keep them updated on their dogs adventures. Available in the Monday to Friday, weekends by request.

HOTEL HOT DOGS!
Don’t feel guilty about leaving your pet if you go away, send them to us for the ultimate Hot Dogs experience. Your dog will stay with us in our home and be treated like part of the family. They'll experience as many hikes as they can handle, a couch to snuggle on and if they're lucky a kids' bed to sneak into at night! As they're staying in our home dogs must be neutered, fully vaccinated, dog, cat and child friendly, house-trained and non destructive (although we know they'll be so tired they won't cause any problems!).

ABOUT US
Hot Dogs is run by Head Hot Dog Emma with a little help from Jeromy, Harry and Ruby. We are lifelong dog owners and are passionate about the benefits of exercise for both two-legged and four-legged animals. We believe that a tired dog is a happy dog and therefore a good dog. Frequent walks provide exercise and all of the physical benefits associated with exercise, as well as vital mental stimulation and socialization with other dogs. We walk small numbers of dogs which allows us to create an in-depth knowledge of the dogs and bond with the dogs in our pack.

We know the conflict of managing life and work commitments with being a responsible dog owner. Our aim is to provide a reliable, flexible and affordable solution for dog owners. Our emphasis is on peace of mind for the owner and on a fun experience for the dog. We are insured, are certified pet first aiders, CRD approved dog walkers and are a member of the Capital Regional Association of Dog Professionals. We will also provide updates on your dog with drop off reports and pictures after each service so you can rest assured knowing that the four-legged members of your family are exercised and back home safe and sound.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHY SHOULD I LET YOU WALK MY DOG?
We are life-long dog owners who are passionate about providing cost effective, personable dog care. Your dog will always be treated like one of our dogs and as we're small we are able to provide your dog with lots of attention. We also provide basic training on leash manners, recall, sit and stay to keep your dogs brain active too. We pick up and drop off dogs (location depending) at no extra cost. We are also certified pet first aiders and are insured. We pride on ourselves on our communication to keep you informed of your dog's activities so you can relax knowing your dog is in great hands.
WHAT IS THE PROCESS?
An initial complimentary "meet and greet" is set up so we can get to know you and your dog and discuss your needs. Owners are required to complete a client form and we can provide references at this stage. From there we arrange walks based on your needs and schedule and you can relax knowing that your best friend will soon be out enjoying walks. Dogs travel in crates usually in an air conditioned vehicle and water is provided on walks and hikes. We will also top up their water at home and are happy to feed them if required.
HOW MANY DOGS CAN YOU WALK AT ONCE AND ARE THERE DOGS YOU WON'T WALK?
Our leashed walks and hikes are pack walks and typically include six dogs. We also aim to match up dogs based on their age, ability and personality. We want your dog to enjoy their walks and get the attention they deserve. Smaller numbers enable us to build a special relationship with your dog and the pack. We require all dogs to be neutered (unless puppies) and vaccinated. All dogs must be friendly and have a degree of basic training. We don't currently have the capacity to do private walks.
WHAT IS THE COST?
Leashed walks are $25.00 for an hour, adventure hikes are $35.00 for approximately two hours, special rates apply for multiple dogs from the same household. Weekend hikes are by request and incur a surcharge. These rates include pick up and drop off. Payment is due every two weeks by cash, cheque or e-transfer.
